This is my final front cover, I chose some suitable plugs for my target audience with recent music acts so that will entice them as this targets people who like new music, with a free download which should also attract them as they are teenagers who would think that a free download it really good.
I choose the masthead to be yellow as it’s a stand out colour and the purple as it compliments the yellow and appeals to the target audience because its quite girly and looks good to the eye.
My picture takes up the whole page as it is a strong pose and doesn’t need anymore pictures around it otherwise it would look too much.

The masthead is good. Main cover line and cover lines are in two colours wich can be a little bit simple but it just enough and not too much.
The puff is not clear. It is like a cover line.

I think that your masthead ‘newmu’ relates to your target audience which is younger teens that want to get the latest on new music. I also think the colours work well with each other, using complimentary colours makes the magazine more eye catching. And also the use of a bottom banner that relates to the main article image which I think should be in the middle or maybe use a different colour or font so the reader knows that it relates to a certain article within the magazine. You have also used a plug ‘free downloads from her new album’ which I think could somehow connect to the main article image more as it’s placed by the cover lines than connecting it with the main article that you have mentioned. The cover lines use the same fonts which keep the magazine simple and intertextually link them together.
